Please share a little info about yourself.
My name is Andrew Pickens, TLC Leader. I work in TireHub’s Southeast Region, leading teams in Norcross, GA, and Columbia, SC, and starting a new journey in a few weeks. I lead teams of awesome Hubbers that deliver tires to our customers just in time with a smile. I was born and raised in Atlanta.
How long have you been a Hubber?
I have been a Hubber since day one (July 3, 2018), and have been in the tire industry for six years. My Brother-In-Law was an outside salesman for Bridgestone TWW, and he told me about a warehouse position that opened in Lawrenceville, GA. I was ready for a career change (from residential moving) and saw it as an opportunity for stability in my life.
How would you describe life as a Hubber?
I’d say there’s always something fun to learn or teach someone else.
What’s something you wish people knew about tires/the industry/etc.?
In my opinion, tires are the most important component of a vehicle. They are the only thing keeping you in contact with the road, and you should check the condition of your tires before you go anywhere. Without tires the world would be a very different place!
Do you have a favorite customer interaction?
I don’t have one single favorite interaction, but whenever I make a customer happy or resolve an issue it gives me all the feels.
How is TireHub different?
TireHub is a place where driven and focused individuals can really grow; the sky is the limit.
Describe your approach to providing exceptional customer service.
I treat customers the way I expect to be treated, with respect and honesty. I communicate and over-deliver when I can.
What would you deem your greatest success since starting with TireHub?
My greatest success would be the journey to the position I am in now. Over the years, I have helped build leaders and guided many Hubbers to personal and professional successes. Since the opening of TireHub, I have worked in many warehouses alongside some of the greatest people I know. I have developed long-lasting relationships and learned so much about being a good leader.
