Please share a little info about yourself.

I’m Edgar Nieves, a Customer Service Specialist (formerly a Logistics Specialist) in TireHub’s Miami center. I am originally from Jersey, but I moved to Miami when I was young. I am a 33-year-old family man who married his high school sweetheart and has 4 wonderful boys – Matthew 17, Dominick 14, Sebastian 8, and Jonathan 7.

My life changed when Jonathan was diagnosed with Autism. I worked so many hours and could not give him and my wife the time or help they needed…until I took the biggest chance of my life, joined TireHub and became a Hubber. It was the best decision I’ve made. TireHub gives me the flexibility to be home in time to give my son the time and help he needs. My son is now hitting a lot of his milestones, like calling me daddy. He still has a long way to go to becoming more verbal, but I know with TireHub it’s possible.

How long have you been a Hubber?

I have been a Hubber for 10 months now.

How long have you been in the tire industry?

I’ve been in the industry for 18 years now.

How did you get into this field?

Eighteen years ago, I was looking for a better job to provide for my family. One of my friends recommended I start in this industry as it offered higher pay and more hours. I fell in love with it.

What’s something you wish people knew about tires/the industry/etc.?

I wish people knew how important it is to check your tire pressure and have frequent rotations. Also, I wish people knew how big the tire industry is and how much work goes into getting tires into the hands of our customers.

Do you have a favorite customer interaction?

When I first started, I delivered to a customer I already knew. He was very happy for me as I was with a company that valued me and appreciated me.

Describe your approach to providing exceptional customer service.

Exceptional customer service means always having a positive attitude and going above and beyond what’s needed to ensure customer satisfaction.

How is TireHub different?

TireHub is different in many ways – they do not overwork their employees and they also care for our needs and wellbeing.

How would you describe life as a Hubber?

Great! As a Hubber, I feel very valued and appreciated.

What would you deem your greatest success since starting with TireHub?

The greatest success is growing with the company and being able to balance time to spend more of it with my family and help with my autistic son with his needs.
